Love: A Valentine's Day Poem
By Brooke Budewig
The rain is hissing,
The cold wind blowing.
Leaves whip past my face.
As I stand I see-
Behold! A light glowing!
Comfort, gathered in a
Cheerful and chaste home.
Oh, wrap your dear arms
Of warmth around me,
Hold me in safety.
Oh, let me feel loved
In your embrace,
As you protect me.
Oh, let me feel loved
In your embrace,
As you protect me.
Keep me safe and warm;
Guard me from my death.
Your love is a blanket,
Wrapping me in your care.
I hear howls of rain,
Yet feel it no more-
For I am embraced in love.
